This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
For years, Batesville Middle School 8th grade Industrial Technology students have created the iconic stained-glass lantern. This year marks the final run of that beloved project. Now adults in our community have the chance to build one themselves for the first and only time.
This hands-on class will be led by retired IT instructor Wayne Lanning and current IT instructor Jeremy Spencer. You will learn the process step by step and create your own stained-glass lantern.
Because this workshop includes hot tools and sharp glass, it is best suited for adults and mature older students. A child may participate alongside a parent, but parents are responsible for their child’s safety and should use good judgment about readiness for a full-day, tool-based class.
Spots are limited and this opportunity will not come around again.
If you have ever admired these lanterns, now is your chance to build one yourself.
