In celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Schmidt Bakery’s Cherry Thing-a-Lings, we’re turning downtown into a walking art gallery!
Local businesses have generously offered their storefront windows as canvases for talented local artists, who have created cherry-themed works of art throughout town. Each window is unique. Each artist is local. And each display is competing for something meaningful.
Every participating business has selected a local non-profit organization to receive prize money if their window places in the top three. That means when you vote, you’re not just supporting art, you’re supporting local charities that make a difference in our community.
Here’s where YOU come in:
• Visit the participating businesses and view the cherry-themed window art
• Choose your favorite window/business/charity
• Vote with your dollars at through Pay Pal or Venmo.
• The top three vote-getters will win prize money for their selected non-profit
This is a celebration of:
- 50 years of an iconic local treat
- The creativity of our local artists
- The generosity of our businesses
- The power of community giving.
Grab a Cherry Thing-a-Ling, take a stroll downtown, admire the art, and vote for your favorite. Check out the discussion for a list of participating businesses and how to vote.
Art. Community. Cherry tradition. Let’s make it count.
Voting ends: February 28th
